Botanical theme painting classes with Claire Souter in oil paints suitable for beginners to advanced are held between 10 am and 1 pm on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. As well as morning tea each day, all materials are supplied, including handmade paper suitable for oil painting (500 mm x 400 mm).
A painting of this size or smaller should be suitable to complete in 4 days, although 8 days would give a good grounding in this technique. The technique involves completing a charcoal drawing from a photo, then applying thin layers of oil glazing with a flexible fast drying medium.
